God Please Forgive Me

God please forgive me for turning away,
I gave you my word that my faith would stay.
You opened my eyes and answered my prayers,
You showed me your love and I knew you were there.

God please forgive me for giving in,
For going back to a life that's full of sin.
After all that you've done for me and continue to do,
I went back to my life and forgot about you.

God please forgive me for all my mistakes,
And God please listen while I give special thanks.
Thank you dear God for I know I'm forgiven,
The Bible says ask, and it shall be given.

Thank you Lord for Jesus Christ,
Who taught us the way to eternal life.
He told of us eternal peace,
And showed us proof, so we'd believe.

He loved us so much that he died for our sins,
So that all of us could live again.
When my time in this world has come to an end
A new life with You will just begin.

Jesus, My Friend

No matter what happens,
I've always got a friend.
When no one else cares,
he'll be here till the end.

He knows that I'm not perfect,
But he loves me just the same.
His arms are always open
To take away my pain.

When I tell him "I'm sorry"
and mean it with my heart,
He always forgives me
And makes a new start.

Just when I'm thinking,
I can't take anymore...
He whispers to my heart
"That's what I'm here for".

He promises a future
of love and total peace.
"Have faith and trust,
and with your heart believe."

He suffered in this world
And died for all our sins.
He's the Lord and Savior
But he's also my best friend!
