Daily Bible Reading:
1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
We are destined from the moment we are born to die. Death although we dislike thinking of it and discussing it, is very much a part of living. As believers in Jesus Christ there is no reason for us to fear death. It is not our end but is the beginning. Although this life is a journey full of uncertainty we have a sure hope. Hope that sustains us when we don't understand, that cheers us on when we are tired and weak, Hope that can be trusted when we don't understand or know what tomorrow holds. Hope that gives life beyond this life, full of joy that exceeds our comprehension. We perceive death as a bitter cup that we dread, but the fact is we can anticipate with joy and hope the day when we come to the end of this life's journey and arrive safely home.
We give our lives to your completely. You control our tomorrow and we trust in You. When we don't understand, when we are tired and weak, You are our hope and you are our strength. Our hearts anxiously wait for the day when we will be home forever. Thank you Jesus! Amen. Source: ©GodToday.com-all rights reserved. Retrieved from www.godtoday.com on August 7, 2006.
